Good Practice Elements
Please describe the features of your program which you feel reflect any of these elements of good practice:
- Principles and policies which
- reflect the primacy of safety of women and children,
- hold perpetrators accountable for their behaviour and recognise the need to reduce incidents of violence committed by perpetrators,
- are based on an understanding of issues of gender power and control, and
- recognise that acts of violence are criminal acts, irrespective of the perpetrator’s or victim’s class, culture, race, religion, age or disability, or the location of the acts of violence;
- Recognition of cultural and other diversity;
- Access and Equity strategies;

- Potential for adoption by other services;
- A clearly defined conceptual framework;
- Clearly defined aims and objectives;
